AGE REQUIREMENT: You must be 25+ to rent our condo and may be asked to provide identification. BOOKING REQUIREMENT: The person booking our condo must be the person staying at the unit. Third-party booking is not allowed and will be cancelled immediately. PARKING: The number of vehicles allowed in the Parking Garage is two. NON-DISTURBANCE: Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am where noise should be kept to a minimum in accordance with Mammoth Lake's Quality of Life Ordinance. CANCELLATIONS: Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. Refunds will not be made for weather or road conditions, please purchase travel insurance to cover these occurrences. CARE OF PREMISES/DAMAGES: NO PETS ALLOWED. NO SMOKING PERMITTED IN HOUSE. Renter assumes all risk of injury or other losses relating to the renter's use of the property or the items of personal property provided, including the bunk bed as well as any recreational activities, including the use of the shared swimming pool or hot tub and will hold Owner harmless. OWNERS RIGHTS: Renter agrees that if the conditions and limitations set forth herein are not met, Owner shall have the right to cancel this agreement and may enter the Property, either by statutory proceedings or by force, to inspect the Property and ensure that Renter has vacated the Property. All monies paid by Renter shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. To abide by local legal requirements, you may be asked to complete a secure verification portal by providing a copy of your official government-issued photo ID, confirming your contact information and sharing the purpose of your stay. Accessibility

Neighborhood

We are in a prime location between the Village and Canyon Lodge, guests have easy access to the slopes and the restaurants and shops. We are 0.5 miles to Canyon where you can easily walk back or take the free Mammoth shuttle that stops right in front. We are the third stop from Canyon and our shuttle only loops Canyon to the Village Gondola. The Village is 0.8 miles from our unit with a downhill 10-minute walk and a free shuttle back if you don't want to walk back up.

Guest access

Accessing Mountainback Chalet is easy and secure thanks to our Smart Lock system. You’ll receive a unique door code the day before check-in — no keys, no stress. Your code will remain active through 10:00 AM on the day of checkout. ✅ Private access: You’ll have full, private use of the home for the duration of your stay. 🚨 Please Note: Interior stairs are required to access the condo.

Jenny’s place was just as pictured and described and perfectly suited my family of four on a four-night winter trip to Mammoth. The top floor condo is cute, cozy, proximate to Canyon Lodge and doesn’t share any walls with neighboring units. Parking and transit were easy with a spacious, covered parking structure and the bus stop right out front. Jenny is kind, responsive and easy to communicate with; a wonderful host.

Find us

Our building offers a convenient covered parking garage on the first floor, ensuring the safety of your vehicle. We understand that electric vehicle charging is important, and while our parking garage doesn't have charging facilities, there is a charging station available in town. The free Mammoth shuttle service stops right in front of The Mountainback Chalet and runs from Canyon Lodge to the Village Gondola and Shops. Park your car in our covered garage and don't worry about it for the rest of the trip.
